Common Questions: Carpet Cleaning

Most Commonly Asked Questions About Carpet Cleaning

Common Questions: Tile and Grout Cleaning
Common Questions: Upholstery Cleaning

These are all very relevant questions and are commonly asked before, during, and after you have your carpets cleaned by Spotless Flooring. As a professional we hear these questions and many more. I’ve narrowed down the best of them all to provide you with as much relevant information as possible before your cleaning so that we may be the cleaner you remember.

– How much do you charge for carpet cleaning?

This is the most common question I am asked prior to scheduling a cleaning. Prior to answering this question I want to remind you that carpet cleaning is a service and you will get what you pay for. We strive to provide the best cleaning and service we can and maintain reasonable costs while doing so.  Carpet cleaning prices near League City TX

– How long will the carpet take to dry?

After a good steam cleaning the carpet may take anywhere from 1-3 hours to dry depending on the conditions of your home.

With carpet protector applied after cleaning, your carpet may take 3-6 hours to dry.

– What kind of cleaning process do you use?

Steam Cleaning is what we use to clean most residential carpet. This process is common and professionally referred to as hot water extraction. Though steam cleaning is our primary step in the cleaning process, we do much more than just steam clean.

A quick walk through the cleaning process is as follows: prepare room for cleaning, vacuum, vacuum edges, apply cleaning detergents as necessary, agitate carpet (usually with a floor scrubber), steam clean to rinse cleaning agents and soil, apply fans for quick drying.

– How long will it take to complete the cleaning?

On average it takes about one and a half to four hours to clean residential carpet.

Cleanings can take anywhere from one hour to six hours on residential carpet cleaning and sometimes longer. Adding other cleaning services we offer like tile cleaning, upholstery cleaning, shower stall and tub cleaning can take additional time.

– Do you move furniture?

We move small furniture free of charge. This includes things like chairs, stools, side tables, plants, and decorations. These items need to be clear of belongings to avoid damage and making a mess while moving them around.

We can move nearly any furniture for the service but charge additionally for large things such as beds, dressers, shelves, sofas, recliners, and dining tables.

– Do I need to vacuum the carpet?

No, you do not need to vacuum the carpet you want to have cleaned. We will take care of vacuuming the open areas and utilizing our crevice tool, vacuuming the edge of the room where dust and debris settles as well.

We recommend picking up all personal belongings such as toys, shoes, clothes, papers, and trash before our arrival to speed up the cleaning process.

– Have more questions?

Feel free to call, text, or email us. We will be happy to answer any questions you have.
