How to Prepare for Carpet Cleaning with Spotless Flooring

How to Prepare for Carpet Cleaning Serivce with Spotless Flooring

While having scheduled a service for carpet cleaning, you may be asking yourself what you should do to get ready. No worries, we are going to cover exactly that. I will talk about what to pick up, what to move, parking arrangements, and vacuuming. And don’t worry if you forget something, your friendly cleaner will get through the cleaning with amazing results.

After you schedule an appointment with Spotless Flooring, you now have a set time to be home for the service. You should receive an email with some information to help you prepare for the cleaning. You will find similar information listed here.

About an hour prior to your cleaning you should…

Pick up all Personal Belonging

Personal belongings include toys, clothes, trash, and anything else that you don’t want vacuumed up.

Picking up your personal belongings ensures that our crew does not accidentally misplace any of your belongings when preparing for your carpet cleaning or tile cleaning service. If anything is found on the floor, behind a door, or in the way, we will more than likely just set it on the closest surface off of the floor. This is to help you easily find items that were left in the immediate area.

Moving Furniture and Similar Items

We normally move: Our cleaning team will move small furniture such as side tables, lamps, coat racks, mops, and other light weight items. We do this free of charge as a part of regular service.

We charge for: If you would like any furniture such as love seats, recliners, sofas, dressers, or chests moved, please request the service. We charge differently each time for moving furniture because the amount of work will vary considerably depending on the space of your home and your requested furniture to move.

To avoid charges: In order to have furniture moved and completely cleaned under, please move the furniture completely out of the areas being cleaned.

Parking Arrangements

We request that you leave the easiest access point to the property with one free parking spot nearest the entry.

The closer we can park to the area being cleaned, the faster we can get your floors and furniture cleaned and dried.

Having all of our equipment as close as possible to the work area allows us to make shorter trips when bringing in equipment to the home. That means that we can complete the job faster. But also, main equipment remains mounted in the van (these machines are known as truck mounts). The less vacuum hose we have to use (closer to the van) the quicker we can get your surfaces dry. The further away from the van we get, the less efficient our equipment is.

Vacuuming Prior to Having Professional Cleaning

Don’t worry about it. We will take care of that. We are professionals that deliver results. Take it easy, kick back, and let us handle it. We will vacuum the open areas and then the trim around the baseboards as well.

Our team’s first step of actual cleaning starts with dry vacuuming. Many companies do not do this or ask that the homeowner do it. Spotless Flooring understands that many home owners don’t have the time or often forget to do this. We also know that it is a very important step to a thorough cleaning. So, before each cleaning, we get on the floor with a commercial or household vacuum to remove as much dry soil as possible.

The Call

Spotless Flooring will always give you a call when we are heading to your house for cleaning. This way you are aware of our arrival and in case anything has happened you can let us know.

The main parts you should focus on are picking up your belongings and moving your own furniture if you would like to. Parking arrangements are helpful but as mentioned above, our first step is dry vacuuming and during that time you will be able to move vehicles around as needed. The rest is our job and we do great at it so you have nothing to worry about.

You will have a great experience.
